Janet's Coaching Practice

In addition to her clinical practice, Janet has also coached many people over the years. She has done a lot of phone coaching with clients from all over the country and abroad related to her specialty in working with fear of public speaking and performing (visit www.performanceanxiety.com/coaching.htm for more information about Janet’s work in this area). Many of her clients have received great benefit in coaching with Janet around these concerns and have continued working with her on other areas of personal and professional growth.

Janet also does coaching with clients in her office around other types of needs and challenges. The focus of her coaching work is goal-oriented, where she guides and supports clients to make desired changes that will improve the quality of their personal and/or professional lives. Janet helps clients become more focused on what is important to them and supports them in taking actions that will help them reach their personal and professional goals. Janet also helps clients be accountable to follow through with the goals they choose for themselves and to both create a momentum for change and sustain change over time.   

Janet has a very positive and empowering style and is active in giving feedback and guidance so clients feel supported along the way. Janet feels a strong commitment to helping her clients on their personal growth journeys and with any professional development goals they may have. Janet uses a holistic, multidimensional approach tailored to each individual client’s needs and personal style. She enjoys working collaboratively with her clients to help them discover better ways to handle the challenges in their lives and enrich the quality of their lives. 

In both her coaching practice and clinical practice, Janet helps her clients discover the hidden opportunities in their life challenges.  She helps clients work with their challenges to gain new levels of self-awareness, confidence, and strength. Janet teaches her clients a set of skills to master their challenges and enhance their lives. She also guides and encourages her clients to create lifestyle practices that help them to better manage stress and to support their overall health and well-being.

Janet schedules phone coaching sessions primarily on Mondays and in-office sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. She has authored two books and a CD on this subject, offers individual coaching sessions, and also leads Getting Over Stage Fright Workshops to help people work on this issue in a safe and supportive environment.
